Dear Friends of the Farm,

This is week 4 of your 18 week season. You will be getting garlic, Walla Walla onions, summer squash, cucumbers, fennel, green beans, Swiss chard and basil. I do believe summer is here and that it is reflected in your produce bags…yea!!!

4th of July: Thank you for working around the holiday weekend. I hope you were able to enjoy your goodies with family and friends! I do not believe there will be any other disturbances by holidays for the rest of the season.

Bags: It would be greatly appreciated if you would please remove everything from your bags; dried onion skins, leaves, onion tops, carrot tops or any other debris that may have accumulated at the bottom of your bag. It is a simple process to shake them out once produce has been removed! We are short staffed on Working Members and it would greatly speed up distribution if each member would take care of this on your end! Thank you for taking the time to help out!

Lamb and Beef: We still have five winter steers and four fall lambs available for purchase. If you are interested in either of these animals, please call me and I will add your order to your account. Please do not email me!

Cookbook: If you find you need a cookbook sometime this summer and you did not order one earlier, I can deliver those to you anytime. Do not hesitate to call me and let me know where you pick up produce and a book will be there!

Changes/Vacations: Please be aware that if you have to make any changes to your order, I will need not only your name, but your Distribution Center location too. Community Supported Agriculture is about supporting your local farmer during the hard times as well as the good times. But it can also mean supporting your community as well! It is that time of year when vacations are planned. Why not decide to donate your produce bag while you’re gone? Each Distribution Center has picked out a place of donation and will get your produce to that place while you’re away! Please let them know the week before you leave so they know ahead of time your produce is being donated.
